First time I was told that I needed to try the pancake..... Well they are great! Buttery, soft and delicious! Tania our waitress was GREAT! She was super helpful and patient and polite. She speak Spanish as well!! Service was excellent Place was super clean Very friendly staff Parking lot in premise 2 handicap parking space in front Walkable to the Beverly Center shopping And Walkable to the Cedars Cinai Hospital Truly recommend!!
If there's a server hall of fame, Lucy's in it. Between her genuinely friendly and caring above-and-beyond service and the quality of food, this location feels less like a chain restaurant and more like your favorite neighborhood diner. The pancakes: perfection. Always fluffy and light yet thick and substantial. Somehow you don't feel weighed down at all after eating them, unlike most other hot cakes Hash browns: crisped up nicely, a finishing touch you don't always get with starchy piles at other breakfast spots Cobb salad is great, but hot tip: hold the turkey and order some chicken fingers and chop them up. The first time we heard they had gumbo soup we were a little wary, but lo and behold, it's actually really good. Proof they can make just about anything here. They're really consistent, reliable, and open at all hours. That and the preservation of the classic midcentury architecture makes this a bonafide LA landmark. You can't ask for more in a diner.
It's been a few years being back at this location and really glad they are here to stay after many rumors of them being replaced. We came in last night around 8pm for dinner. I had the chicken tenders and cajun tots and both were really good last night. The chicken tenders were nice and hot, breading was good which made them very tasty. The cajun tots are really good and it's a nice alternative from french fries. Our server was Mark and he was friendly, nice and took care of us for the entire evening with our needs for a nice dinner.
I am from Memphis and the only thing we have close to this is Waffle House. NORMS has set a new standard. I'm trying to see how we can get one down south. The service was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the food came out very fast (AND IT WAS HOT!) I love this place. The menu has a wide variety of things to pick from, from breakfast food, fish, steaks and more. I will definitely be back and highly recommend if you are looking for quick quality food.
The food was amazing! The service was cool. Our waitress wasn't very friendly but we honestly didn't care. We were hungry and tired and honestly, just ready to get to our hotel. There were quite a few people in here by the time we arrived about 2am. Surprising to see that many people but based on their hours, I guess the people show up when they open. Our food took a short time to come out but everything was piping hot. The pancakes were delicious! I could've just slept in between them, lol! They were so soft and pillowy. The vibe of this place is a late night diner. No real frills or thrills. Definitely a must try!
